About Us: on the Bremer River Ipswich is approximately 40 kilometres west of the Brisbane and commenced in 1827 as a mining settlement. Global giant General Electric moved its Queensland headquarters into a $72 million building in Springfield in 2015 and Ipswich is the site of RAAF Base Amberley, the Royal Australian Air Force's largest operational base.
